When I was filming Bluestone 42 for BBC3 back in South Africa 2012, I was offered the chance to fire all kinds of weapons and hand guns at a shooting range. The cast were playing soldiers in the show so it made sense for them get some experience. I didn’t go. I’m not sure why. I just felt weird about it. I slightly regret that, just because I’m curious to know how it would feel to fire guns like that. But is that something I need to experience?

In the latest episode of Cooper and Cary Have Words, we spoke to Barry’s pastor about hunting and guns. It’s a really interesting conversation. Tuesday night saw the premier of my new stand-up theology show Water into Wine, at St Mary Magdalene in Bognor Regis. I was really pleased with how it went and I think the audience were too.
